What does it take to be a feminist today? Under Pressure deals with intersectionality and the complexity of privileges and power relations. In the artwork, statistical facts about discrimination against women in Finland are intertwined with metaphorical and fictional storytelling based on real life situations.

Under Pressure was partly produced in Womarts lens-based residence based in Aviles and as part of the programme, for a roaming exhibition inspired by Simone De Beauvoir’s Second Sex. It premiered at UGM Maribor Art Gallery (curator Breda Kolar) on 5th of April 2019 and after that it has been exhibited in the following cities: 2021 Limerick | Church Gallery, LSAD, 2020 Angoulême | Médiathèque ALPHA - Angoulême, 2020 Rijeka | Promenade, 2020 Aviles | CMAE & Casa de Cultura de Aviles, 2019 Vilna | Vilniaus Rotuse, 2019 Santiago de Compostela | Sala Isaac Diaz Pardo – Auditorio de Galicia
